Tamara had a spare ticket and Stephe was lucky enough to score an invite to the Basement to see Sophie Serafino...
The first support act was a Cellist, with a good voice, but a distracting Cello habit... (Anne-Lise Larsen, Sydney's Queen of Glamaphonic; cellist & songstress). Not sure I'd make the effort to ever see her again (actually, I am well sure on the point!).
The second support was a comedy routine with Gary Eck - who had an odd routine which involved a 20 minute chat with the front section of the audience, and then a 20 minute set with actual jokes in it... Probably a funny enough chap, but an odd set.
We were among the very few people who were not related to Sophie Serafino for the headline, and hence had no idea what her act would be like. It was an interesting 'fusion' set, but again, not sure that I'd rush back for any of it - pretty much, seen one such gig, you've seen 'em all I reckon... That said, the backing singer was great, as was the roadie for the event!
