Alisa was the headliner of this gig, and provided a perfectly solid / workmanlike show, which Ben, Kristy and Stephe managed to get along to (after the ceremonial pre-gig dinner at Wagamamma's beforehand). Certainly, her time since discovery on triplej unearthed seems to have matured Alisa as a performer, but there was no real spark there for mine...
That said, the highlight of the night for me was the support act - Yasmin Smith. On stage on her own with an acoustic guitar, she sang beautiful songs of love and pain, life and death, with a steady stream of sorrow! But, Yasmin's voice was pure, her smile at the end of her songs was radiant (and in complete contrast to her aggressive crew cut appearance), and generally quite enjoyable to hear and watch...
