The Biplanes - Bat & Ball Hotel - 27 October 2007

Our evening started at the Cleveland, with Kristy and Stephe joined by Felspar, Jess, and Rami.

We then meandered over to Wafu for a delicious Japanese Bento box, cooked with entirely organic non-gluten products. Yummy, and apparently also good for us.

Felspar had to rush through dinner to get to the gig to help with front of house stuff, and the rest of the gang made our way down to the pub at around 9.30pm, where we joined James (Jess' partner) who was pretty good company for a man coming off a 12 hour shift! We were also joined along the way by a raucous group of 24 year olds celebrating a birthday - unfortunately, they kept on celebrating (very loudly) once in the Bat and Ball, during the band's performance...

Band was cool, with some good covers making their way out over the technical glitches - and the 'classic' "love on the 339" was delivered well (with some movement toward the dance floor as a result). Unfortunately, another technical glitch managed to side track the performance for around ten minutes or so, by which time Kristy's lack of sleep etc had caught up with her, and she and Stephe bailed.
