Mia Dyson - Saturday 22 December - Gaelic Club

Jodie and Sam joined Kristy, Ben and Stephe for a splendid evening's entertainment at the Gaelic Club...

The evening started with a nosh up Italian dinner just behind Centennial Park, so we were at the Gaelic Club only just in time to hear the last of Matt Walker's solo set (he's the bass player for Mia Dyson). He sounded very cool, and we almost certainly need to see more of him in future.

Pretty well straight after that, we moved into a *fantastic* set by Epicure - pretty well every track a goodie.

Mia came on without much further delay, and - as promised - had a great voice, yada yada... Too much similarity from one track to the next, some of the upbeat numbers got the crowd up and at 'em, but mostly much sameness. The encores were good, and probably a couple along the way.

Bonus points of amusement from watching Carla and Adam explore their relationship with each other (and others) over the course of the evening, and the post gig drinks with them, their friends, Kristy being provocative, and Felicity and Mel.

A very good night out, unfortunately back *very* late for Sam's babysitter - and an early bail from Jodie...
